Theme: All week, we encourage citizens to practice Random Acts of Kindness.

Monday, October 20:

  • 10:30 AM – Press Conference at Oakland City Hall to announce LoveLife Week. (All Council Members are invited to participate)

  • 5:30 PM – Candlelight Prayer Vigil & Healing Ceremony at 26th and Myrtle (anniversary of LoEshe's passing), including drumming, libations, prayer, and a healing circle.

 

Tuesday, October 21

  • 6:00 PM – Conference on Preventing Violence Against Women, in partnership with Courageous Women, A Safe Place BOSS, and Haven for Black Healing @ the WERC 7200 Bancroft Ave #275 Oakland Ca 94605

Wednesday, October 22

  • 12:00 PM – Citywide Community Clean-Up in all districts.

  • 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM• BOBBY SEALE STREET NAMING CEREMONY

    • Location: 57th Street & Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Oakland, CA

    • Occasion: Official renaming ceremony and celebration of Bobby Seale’s life and legacy

 

Thursday, October 23

  • 1:00–3:00 PM – Feeding the Unhoused, Location San Pablo and W. Grand hosted by LoveLife Foundation & YKP and other Oakland Community Based organizations

 

Friday, October 24

  • 5:00 PM – Youth/Adult Town Hall: With Congresswoman Lateefah Simon Oakland City Council Chambers

 

Saturday, October 25

  • 8:00 PM – LoveLife Comedy Jam at Zentis Lounge

 

Sunday, October 26

  • All churches and faith leaders are invited to observe a Moment of Silent Prayer for all murder victims during their weekly services.
